Breathwork for Couples
Everything you wanted to ask

Questions

Do we both need experience?

No. Most couples in the room have never done breathwork before.

How often should we come?

Weekly if you can, monthly if you cannot. Both work. What does not work is treating it as a one off. A single session is interesting, and a practice is what actually changes things.

Does online really work?

Yes, and people are surprised by it. Breathwork happens inside your own body. What you need is a floor, a blanket, a partner, and someone guiding you, none of which requires sharing a room. What you gain is your own space, no travel, and a bed twenty feet away afterward, which for couples matters more than you would think.

Is this sexual?

No. Everyone stays clothed. Nothing sexual happens in the room. I do not touch participants, and partners only touch each other in ways they have agreed beforehand.

The work does tend to change people’s erotic lives. It wakes the body up, and that does not switch off when the session ends. But that happens afterward, privately, between the two of you.

What if our relationship is fine? Is this still for us?

Yes, and those are often the couples who go furthest. You do not wait until you are injured to move your body.

What if one of us does not really want to come?

Then do not come yet. Scepticism is fine, most people have some and it does not interfere. Being dragged is different.

Will we have to talk in front of other people?

Barely. A short check in at the start. Space to share afterward if you want it, and nobody is ever made to. Most of the session everyone’s eyes are closed anyway.

What if I cry?

Then you cry, and so does someone else, and it is unremarkable in that room. Emotion often arrives during breathwork with no story attached. Not sadness about something, just sadness moving through.

What if nothing happens?

Normal first session, and not a verdict on you. Some bodies need two or three rounds before they will let go, particularly if you stay in control for a living.

My hands went strange last time I tried breathwork.

That is tetany, and nobody warns people about it. Fast deep breathing shifts your blood chemistry and can leave hands tingling, stiff, or curled inward. Temporary, harmless in a healthy body, and it stops within minutes of breathing normally.

Is it safe?

For most people, yes. Real contraindications exist. Cardiovascular conditions, pregnancy, epilepsy, recent surgery, glaucoma, history of psychosis. I ask before we begin, and sometimes the answer is that this is not the right time.

Is this therapy?

No. I am a breathwork facilitator and a VITA™ certified Sex, Love & Relationship Coach, not a therapist or a couples counsellor. If you are in crisis or working through trauma, this sits alongside professional care.

Can I come without my partner?

Yes. Mention it when you book. You will not be paired with a stranger.

Do you run in person sessions?

Occasionally, a few times a year. Everything scheduled right now is online.
